Bajaj Auto recorded motorcycle sales of 3,18,377 units in June 2012 as compared to 3,22,827 in June last year, thereby registering a de-growth of 1pc. Commercial vehicles sales for the corresponding period decreased by 39pc from 43,830 in June last year to 26,785 units this year. Overall the company recorded negative growth of 6pc. Exports which were included in the above figures, also declined by 18pc from 142124 to 116062 this year. For the quarter April-June 2012, the company’s motorcycle sales grew 2pc from 9,63,051 in April-June 2011 to 9,82,623 units this year. Commercial vehicles declined in the same period from 1,29,764 units in April-June 2011 to 10,78,971 units in Q1 of the new fiscal, declining 26pc.
